In 2019, Katie joined an incredible team of instructors at Full Circle Hoop Camp and led a collaborative painting workshop using her own invention: the paint hoop. The paint hoop is a standard, plastic hoop with holes drilled into the outside perimeter of the tubing. The hoop can be filled with liquid paint, and the centrifugal force of hula hooping forces the paint out of the holes and onto a nearby canvas (and anyone standing in the splash zone!)

A total of 75 women worked together to create a single paint hoop canvas. At the end of the retreat, the canvas was removed from the frame and cut into small pieces so each participant could take home a memento from the workshop.
