Hoops for Haiti

I recently started volunteering with Ozark Water Projects, a local charity that raises money to take shoes and clean water to developing countries. This March, they will be heading down to Haiti for the third time to dig a new well and install a brand new water purification system. I was fortunate enough to be invited to accompany them on this trip! But I'm not just going to help with the projects on the ground, I'm also going to do what I do best: hula hoop!

But because I'm not wanting to take any money away from the charity itself, I'm attempting to fund my own way there. This is my first time using a crowd funding site so we'll see how it goes! If you'll watch the video, it explains what exactly I need the money for and how it will be used. I'm so excited!

This is something that has always been a dream of mine. I suppose because hooping has brought so much happiness and so many blessings in my life I want to share that wherever possible. Haiti is a place where the kids could use a little happiness, I think, however simple.

So please, if you have it in your means to give, please do, and help me get to Haiti!
